F. Aydlett of Elizabeth City is pecu liarly fitted to represent this District in Congress. \ * In 30 years of active work for the best interests of the people of this section, sponsoring evety worthy cause and energetically opposing every move disadvantageous to the public, Mr. Aydlett has shown himself to be the champion of the public weal. He stands for progress along economical lines, for education and for development of the farming country by means of good roads and improved farming conditions and for the lightening of the burden of taxation now borne by every citizen of the country. Reared on the farm, Mr. Aydlett has first hand knowledge of farm life and conditions. H i s business and legal experiences enable him to judge wisely in questions of finance and trade, pub ? lie policy and diplomacy. Ilis years of service as trustee of Wake Forest College, as County Su perintendent of Education in Camden and as Chairman of the School Board in Elizabeth City, combine to give him unusually clear views of the educational needs of this section. As Superin tendent of one of the city's largest Sunday Schools, as a deacon in the church and moderator of the Chowan Baptist Association, he has ever been allied with the church and is known everywhere as a morally clean and upright Christian gentleman. We, the undersigned business men of Elizabeth City, do not hesitate to recommend E. F. Aydlett to the Democratic voters of the First District. We believe he will represent this district in a manner that will prove to its advantage from every standpoint, and that he will devote all his energy to the best interests of this section and of the entire country.
