The question came up recently in; the High School freshman class as to who were the four greatest men in the United States. George R. Sherril. teacher of civ ics, gave the question an added in terest by permitting the class to vote on who are the four greatest men in Elizabeth City. J. C. U. Ehringhaus led the list with 50 votes from the class and E. F. Aydlett followed with 4 6. Next in line came I. M. Meekins with 23 votes, and he was followed closely by C. H. Robinson, who polled 21. The doctors then followed with Dr. Claude Williams leading the pro-| fesslon with 16 votes and Dr. Zenas Fearing following him with one vote le.*s. Other physicians coming in for a share of favor from the high i-chool class were Doctors Howard Combs. R. L. Kendrick. H. D. Wal ker. I. F? aring.. M. S. Ilulla and W. W. Sawyer.
