Cordon was the grooms best man and Miss Gussie Carstarphen vas 1st brides maid. , The brid and groom entered at the western entrance followed by Mies Mnrcia Latham bearing a beautiful bouquet of flowers, aud J. Cordon and Miss Gussie Carstarphen entered tbe eastern entrance followed by Miss Addie Latham bearing a bouquet of flowers As the bridal party grouped around the chancel the music ceased and tha Rev. C. W.Robinson in his usual colemn but eloquent manner read the ceremony which xaado this happy conplo one. The briditl party were given a dinner at the residence of the bride's sister, Mrs. M, Spruill. 'I he bride and groon left per steamer Plvmouth at 7 p. m for Wash ington which will be their future home. We join the many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Cordon in wishing for them a long life of unalloyed happiness. Swain Beaslet, A happy marriage was solmenized at the residence of Mr. J. E. Beasley near this town on Wednesday last at 3 o'clock p. m,, the eontraeting par. ties being Mr. Cieophas Swaiu and Miss Maggie Beasley. The attendants were : Petter Swaiu and Miss Lora Harrison, J.
