Wfi radted patiently last week, hoj;?i forgive tnr readers the te m tit Ihfc Sttte Convention, but after waiting until Saturday, we had to go to presa without it, but to-Jay we give our readers a full lind complete report of that great Convention, with pictuers of the nominee for Governor and the two gi&dt Democrats who opposed him, Craig and Jlorne, who w ith their friends " ate now Kitchen Democrats. During the struggle last week in Charlotte, where the hottest pontested campaign was ever Waged in a Democratic State Con vention, where men declared that their choice must win, there ever prevailed the friendliest feelings between the contesting parties. The fight is on in our county between good true Democrats for the various county offices, the campaign is getting hot and at 3 o'clock to-morrow tha battle of ballots will be fought in the vari ous primaries. While all are good men and will make good officials, they cannot all be nominated, and we do hope that the .people will attend the primaries and there vote, with out prejudice or malice, for the men of their choice, this done, let the result be satisfactory to all. Let the defeated aspirants and their friends enter heartily into the coming campaign to elect the choice of the people and roll 'utj a glorious victory, for Demo- cracy at the pols. .. Just hre let us urge every vo ter to go to the primary (we mean every Democratic voter, of course none but democrats should expect, or be allowed to vote in a Democratic primary) , and there settle all differences, or if you do not have interest enough in the matter to go to the primaries do not say that the wrong men have been nominated and try to oreate discord in the party after the Convention. The Beacon's ticket will be the nominee's o f the Convention, from President down to Town ship Constable. Let it be yours. We do not expect the Convention to nominate our personal choice, but the people's choice. The Remedy That Does.
