The deceased was born near what is now known as the Hoke Section of Washington County, but had been a resident of Mar tin County for about 40 years. He was a veteran of the War between the States, having en listed at the age of 16 years. The deceased leaves 4 children one daughter, and three sons, and 4 brothers, Alfred, Isaac and Geo. We hope to have the best mu for three separate exhibits: Manual Training Exhibit, Do mestic Science Exhibit, Daily Work in Cass Room Exhibit, for each of which a handsome prize is to be given, is sufficient proof that each teacher and each pupil in the county should help make this Commencement equal any in the State.
