North The growing interest in peach production in North Carolina and the resulting demands on the staff of the Agricultural Experi ment Station for information in regard to this matter has caused the Department of Agriculture to issue 'Peach Growing in North Carolina", bulletin number 227. This bulletin gives some valuable facts in regard to the produc tion, fertilization., cultivation, pruning, and spraying of peach es. It also points out the main facts in regard, to successful peach production as found by the large commercial orchards in the State. ' The bulletin is extremely time, ly just now when a maximum crop seems to be set on the trees It is important that this crop be kept without rotting or spoil ing by the attacks of insect en mies or fungus diseases so that it may be canned or diied for, further use as food.
