Elsewhere in. this issue will be
found an. appeal by che officers
of the Plymouth Community
Fair Association to the people
of this entire township.
A mass meeting of the people
of this township was held in the
Court room last Friday, and it
enthusiastically and unanimous
ly agreed-that this township is
to have a Community Fair this
fall.
Hurrah for the agitators !
This project is something that
has been talked of for several
years, but until last Friday -it
met with no response from the
people in general. At this meet
ing there seemed to be no person
present but who was fired with
a desire to make the affair one
of such proportions that would
give each industry in the: town
ship .an opportunity to display
the best of their products in the
most pleasing manner. m
The affair is something which
shoulcknot be looked upon light
ly by a person within the limits
of Plymouth Township, as it em
braces every industry and 'every
individual within its borders.
It is not being arranged for the
benefit of any one enterprise or
any individual, but in its scope
it reaches out to everyone capa
ble in any way to contribute to
its success and that means
every person in the community.
This Fair must be-a success,
and to be a success necessitates
the united action of all the peo
ple, working in harmony with
each other, toward perfecting
displays- which will embrace
every .creation of P ymouth
Township.
Another meeting is -set for
Saturday, September 1st, and it
is urged that, every person in
the township - make an especial
effort . to attend. This includes
the ladies, who are essential to
the success of any undertaking.
The meeting will be held at 2:00
o'clock in the afternoon, which
will make it possible for the
farmers to attend, the majority
of them making a holiday of the
afternoon on Saturday.
Information on this subject
will be given by Mr. t L. Sat
terthwaite, President; W F.
Ausbon, Secretory; W. B. Watts,
N. B. Stevens, or this office.
Be sure to attend the next
