BEACON FLASHES. last Mr. Clifford Ward spent Sunday in our city. Mr. A. R. Dupree of Green ville, was in our city Sunday. Miss Carrie Smith is visiting Miss Millie Spruill, near Roper. Mr. W. J. lvlercer of near Mackeys was in the city Wed nesday. Mr. Lloyd Gilbert has return, ed from a visit to friends in Norfolk. Miss Nina Harrison has return ed from a pleasant visit to friends in Creswell. Mr. and Mrs. D. 0. Brinkley left last Friday to visit relatives in Hendersonville, N. C. Mr. Linwood Brown of Nor folk has been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Brown this week. Mr. Jas. I. Brewer of Norfolk spent the week-end with his mother at Warren Neck, near town. After a few days visit here to relatives and friends. Miss Willo Sitterson returned to her home n?ar Roper. Mrs. C. V. W. Ausbon hat been spending a few. day in Norfolk, visiting her sister, lira J. I. Brewer. Misses Lucy Norman and Kathleen Spruill spent the week end at Miss Norma Chesson e, near Mackeys. Misses Mabel Hawkins and Elizabeth Tyer returned to their home in Surry, after a lev days visit to Miss Mabel AHigood. Miss Louise Ayers returned home from Washington Monday where she spent a few days visiting relatives and friends. Mr. E. B. Norman of Buell, Va., was in the city Sunday, the guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs, C. J. Norman on Main St. Mrs. C D. Loan. Sr. left Mon day for Hertford where she is spending a few days with her daughter, Mrs. EIoiseBroughton. MissFanr,y O.vens returned to her home in Elizabeth City, Wednesday, after a few days visit here to relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Williams of Norfolk, have been visiting Mrs. Williams' parents, Dr. and Mrs. T. B. Wolfe, for the past week. After spending several days here as the guest of her cousin, Miss Sammie Harrison, Mrr Norman Duncan has returned to her home in Norfolk.
