This is in accordance with instructions from Aslanta. The allotmont of refugee gar ments is rapidly being cut and assembled at the work room lor distribution. These plain little garments are a pathstic appeal from the 600,000 destitute child ren of France to the mothers of Plymouth, and it is earnestly hoped that, at least twenty wo men will come or send for six or more of these garments before the closing, hour Tuesday. Cold weather approaches and the en tire number should be finished and shipped by the first of Oc tober. A sample garment will be furnished with eich package; also seeing cotton. ROPER NEWS. Chesson to Miss Eula Spruiil in Norfolk 'last week was quits a sbrpnse to their 'many friends here. They are now at home after a short bridal trip to North ern cities. Miss Helen May Seabolt left Monday to assume her duties as a member of the faculty of Car olina College at Maxton. She was accompanied by her sister, Miss Louise Seabolt, who will enter the college as a student. Misses Carrie Lee and Wilma V. Clark will motor to Black stone, Va., next Tuesday to take up thir Senior year's work at Blackstone College, and will be accompanied by their parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. S, Clrrk. who will spend several days in Vir ginia. The Fall term of Rcp?r High and Graded Schools will open Monday, Sept, 23rd, with Prof. Geo. fl. Weaver of Raeford, N. C, as Superintendent, he having served two terms prior to this, and his many friends hero will be glad to see him return Other new members of thefacully will be Miss Annie Mizell in charge of the 2nd and 3rd grades, and Miss Velma Collins in charge of the 4th and 5th grades, Miss Isabelle McAllister having ac cepted the position of principal of the Travis High School in Tyrrell County.
