Upon inquiry, lalso learned that he had been cared for and brought up from a tiny infant by Mr and Mrs “Croge” Hamilton, an aged couple, whose son had mar ried the child’s mother and gone out West. Since then I had w’atched the boy merging into young man hood, noted the affection for them. A solicitude which led him to stop his school work and find employ ment at Pi^gah Forest tha't he might share the burden with the aged couple that had cared for him from infancy. It was while engage here that he was caught in the n;nchinery and received fatal Injuries from which he died in the Hendersonville Hos pital on March 21, having just pas; - ed his K),birthday. Who can tell whether the life, begun with such promise, but cut off just as it began to unfold into young manhood, may not have somewhere, somehow to come into full fruitage of thatjirom- is(*?
