73.17 acres; 50 tracts of land in
Transylvania County, North Carolina,
containing in the aggregate 5599.76
acres; 10 tracts of land in Henderson
County, North Carolina, containing
in the aggregate 951 acres; the said
lands bemg all of what is commonly
known as Pisgah Forest except so
much thereof as has heretofore been
conveyed by Edith S. Vanderbilt to
the United States of America, or re
served by the said Edith S. Vander
bilt, and one tract in Henderson

oak on a ridge in the Charles Patton

deg. east 7% poles to a stone, Pat
ton’s old corner; thence north 52 deg.
east 11 poles and 18 links to a Span
ish oak on top of the ridge; thence
north 18 deg. west 24% poles to a
chestnut; thence north 4% deg. east
7 poles and 7 links to a chestnut cor
ner on the west side of a road; thence
with said road, south 44 deg. west

ginning, containing 2 and 12-100
acres. And being the same tract of
land conveyed to W. C.' Patton by
L. E. Rackley and wife by deed dated
