Patton’s residence, the beginning comer of above named 44 acre tract and runs with the line of said tract, south 5 deg. west 18 poles to a small black oak on a ridge in the Charles Patton line; thence with said line, south 52 deg. east 7% poles to a stone, Pat ton’s old corner; thence north 52 deg. east 11 poles and 18 links to a Span ish oak on top of the ridge; thence north 18 deg. west 24% poles to a chestnut; thence north 4% deg. east 7 poles and 7 links to a chestnut cor ner on the west side of a road; thence with said road, south 44 deg. west 6^ poles to a stake; thence south 11 deg. west 10 Vs poles to the be ginning, containing 2 and 12-100 acres. And being the same tract of land conveyed to W. C.' Patton by L. E. Rackley and wife by deed dated Oct. 13, 1900, and recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds for I Transylvania County, North Carolina, in Deed Book No. 18, at page 16.
