The Diiector’s Bulletin
FOR
THE BAPTIST
CAMPAIGN
My third message to the Baptists of the Transylvania Association is for all the Church Directors and W. M.
U. Workers to be constant in p^rayer, asking God to guide you in directing the campaign in your church, and
remember it is not the 75 Million we are striving for, but we are laboring to this end—that the people who profess
to be God’s people may prove over the powers of satan—that they are the Sons of God because they are led by
the Spirit of God. It pains my heart when 1 hear of so many of the Baptists that will not take the Biblical Record-
er from the office, and refuse to take it from the rural carriers. I am having the paper sent to you for four
months. Lhave tried to make it plain that you were to pay 50 cents if you felt able to do so and if you do not feel
able, you are just as welcome to read it as you are to breathe the air that God gives you, so 1 plead with you as a
friend and brother, pray over this matter, for 1 fear tha t God is going to prove all things to those who love Him,
before the campaign is over. I urge upon the church directors and W. M. U. workers to see that all copies of
the Recorder that will not be taken, by those to whom it is addressed, to give them to anyone who will read them
and you will find plenty around you that are hungering and thirsting after Jesus.
Let all Church Directors and W. M. U. Workers who did not attend the Asheville school last week be
ready to go Monday, the 29th on the afternoon train to Asheville, returning Wednesday afternoon. Your ex
penses will be paid, and don’t fail to go.
Now if the director has offended any brother or any friend or foe, I give you a cordial welcome to come to
my office in Brevard and we will talk the matter over a s best we can. I want to let you know that I am no parti
san in political matters and that I haven’t been for the Isist fifteen years; that 1 have never bought but one vote
and I have confessed it to my God and to my church, and that I have tried to live the life of ’an honest citizen.
1 have tried to be progressive to the glory of God, and pleading for His guidance in writing out the bulletin and
I am going to say by His help, what He wants me to say, and if my brethren don’t like it, or my friends or my
foes, I can’t help it. I want to be, and will be true to my God. ,
