WeJbelieve that this has been the
greatest revival that has ever been
at this place. We never saw such
earnest work done by the church be
fore.
Both Methodist and Baptist worked
together in perfect harmony to bring
the lost to Christ.
At one service there were nineteen
men at the altar.
The result of four services in suc
cession was forty six professions.
As far as we know there have been
forty two fot baptism, twenty four by
■otter and four restored; making a
total of seventy addition to the Bap
tist church. A number will join the
Methodist church. The professions
all told v/ill reach ninety. The preach
ing: v/as done by Rev. J. B. King, the
-astor, for the first week. Rain came
and it seemed that the meeting was
oVcr. Then Rev. A. J. Manley began
rrcachin.i; and for twelve nights the
Holy Spirit came in }?reat power.
One strong young man fell on the
Rev. King returned and rendered
ii'ithful scrvice as helper but Rev. A.
J. ?Janly preached at night for eleven
with perfect satisfaction to all
who heard him.
’,7c V.T2 now united together to
for the Lord to put out of bus
iness all blockaders, bootleggers,
. r.riMInjr dens and any cthor evil in
nnd around town.
