RAILROAD RATES The Railroad Administration has pranted special rates to the Teachers’ ! Assembly on the certificate plan. At : all points in North Carolina, from which the one-way fare to Raleigh is as much as seventy-five cents, return trip tickets may be purchased contain ing a certificate, which, when valida ted by the proper railroad official, will entitle the holder to return to his des tination by the same route he came at one-third of the regular one-way fare. This makes the round trip cost the purchaser four cents a mile plus the war tax. Caution. Perhaps it would be well for you to ask the agent a few days ahead of time, if he is supplied with the special tickets. Be certain that you have a ticket with a certificate attached. These tickets will be on sale from November 23rd to November 27th and will be valid till December 1. These rates apply to all members of the Teachers’ Assembly and all the de pendent members of their families. WONDpiIL, SAYS MRiM. KIRKLAND Was So Rundown Could Not Walk At Times She -Gains Twenty Pounds by Taking Tanlac. Mrs. Mattie Kirkland, a highly es- taemed resident of 2547 Benton Boule vard, Kansas City, Missouri, called at the Owl Drug Store recently, and made the remarkable statement that she had not only gained twenty pounds in weight by the use of seven bottles of Tanlac, but that the medi cine has also relieved her of a case of nervous indigestion that had made life miserable for her for three years. When asked if she was willing for her statement to b<i' published, Mrs. Kirkland said: “Yess, indeed, for if it had not been for others allowing the news of their recovery published I would not have known about Tanlac and would still be a sick woman. So I feel that I ought to make a statement myself and try to benefit someone else. During those three years everything I ate disagreed with me. My appetite was so poor that I seldom felt like eat ing and I would suffer for hours after every meal from the gas on my stomach. My head ached all the time and I often got so nervous and dizzy that I would have to lay down. I lost weight until I got down to only one hundred and ten pounds and my housework was a burden to me. I was so rundown and weak that I could not walk at times, and while I used most everything I heard of nothing did me any good. “I read so many testimonals for Tanlac given by our own Kansas City piople, and their statements sounded so sincere, that I made up my mind to try the medicine myself. So I bought a bottle and when I finished taking it there was such a wonderful change in my condition that I got another, then another, and so on until now I have used seven bottles and the re sults have been nothing less than won derful. I can eat just anything with out the least trouble afterwards and my appetite was never bettr. My nerves are perfectly calm and I sleep every night just like a child. In fact, I am feeling as strong and as well as I did before my troubles started, three years ago, and I have actually gained twenty pounds in weight. I now know for myself that Tanlac is wonderful and I can’t praise it too highly for what it has done for me.’ Tanlac is sold by leading druggists everywhere.—adT.
