Southern Railway System
Reduced Passenger Fares Far
The Heliday
Reduced Passenger fares for the Christ
mas Holiday season will be put in effect
by the Southern Railway System tickets
between All points on the System only
being sold on basis of fare and one half
for the round trip. This is the basis
which applied prior to the world war.
Tickets will be sold at reduced rates on
December 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th and
25th with January 4th as final limit.
Selling dates from December 21st to
25th inclusive.

NOTES.
Professor Trowbridge is attending
the educational association of the M.
E. Church, South, now in session at
Memphis, Tenn. He will return on
Friday.
Misses Smith and F'oyd were in
Hendersonville on Monday.
A Christmas bazaar was held at
the Auditorium on Monday evening.
Fancy articles, candies, cakes ,etc.,
were on sale. The bazaar was held
under the auspices of the Y. W. C.
A. The sales were very satisfactory.
Janius Ratcliffe, a student of last
year, returned on Monday to take up
review work, prepatory to entering
school again after the holidays.
Quite a number of new students
will enter after Christmas. Of these
several have been on the waiting list
since September.
