WEDDING OF INTEREST A wedding of much surprise oc rurred Monday, August 12, when Mrs. George Owen and Mr. Caleb Murphy were quietly married in Pickens. Mrs. Murphy is from Tennesee (iap, while Mr. Murphy is from Ros man. They will make their future home in Rosman. BIRTHDAY DINNER Mrs. A. C. Price of ? Gloucester, entertained Sunday with a surprise birthday dinner in honor of Mr. Price's 53rd birthday anniversary. One of Mr. Price s neighbors sent for him to come over to his home in i lie morning, and during his absence everything was prepared for the din ner and the guests arrived. Word was then sent Mr. Price telling him lie had company. On reaching home Mr. Price was greeted by a large crowd of relatives and friends.
