I . -Some suggestions for the ivomev to work on in the townships. 1. Encourage the Live-at-Home program in each community by l a. Better gardens and over a longer period of time, also try a few new vegetables. b. Wherever possible let each wo man start with one or two settings of eggs and of the adopted breeds, which are Barred Rocks and White Leghorns. c. Each woman is encouraged to keep records on her garden and pouU. try as these records will help to re veal the true value of home garden and chickens. d. Work to have more home con veniences. 2. Try to organize a woman's club in each community to study and do home demonstration work. 3. Establish reading circles, in order to get more good books, maga zines to read in the homes. 4. Assist the rural teachers in get ting- speakers for the health week and the putting on of a good health program for the public . 5. Encourage the housewives to can and dry fruits and vegetables enough to at least supply the family needs for winter. 6. Encourage the grading of all vegetables and other products offered for sale. This will make selling easier and the demand for grade pro ducts will increase. 7. When possible and practical in sist on home produced products from our merchants. They wil lhiive to sup ply demand therefore let the women create the demand for home grown products. 8. The women should assist is try ing to double the value of our live stock and sther farm products. In butter fat we should strive to reach the average for the regions. 9. Encourage the improvement, care and protection of public property such as our rural school .buildings and grounds. Strive t'u create a school ground beautification campaign. 10. Each township to organize, elect officers, committees and make out a program of work to suit that particular community, yet in keeping with the county program. Elect dele gates to the county convention or general meeting to be hel din Brevard every three months. These delegates to report the community program, the progress made and the outstanding needs. An- arrangement of this" 'kind. 1 would enable the representatives to the Regional council in Asheville to give a true report of the progress and I needs of ths entire county.
