ATTENDED SOUTHERN
BAPTIST CONVENTION
Rev. J. E. Burt, J. W. Glazener
and A. AI. Paxtor., Sr., of Rosman,
Julian Glazener, of Brevard, and
Rev. W. A. Tinsley of Ninty Six, S.
0., attended the recent Southern
Baptist convention at St. Petersburg,
Fla. Rev. J. E. Burt, J.W. Glazener
and Rev. W. A. T-inslay being elected
* delegates, of their respective
churches. The trip was made in J. TV.
Glazener's car. It is a trip to be long
remembered by ail members of the
party. '
Around five . ^ousand delegates
were registered for the first session.
The party also did some sightseeing,
^visiting such points of interest as
w Ocola, Fla., Silver Springs and many
other points. On the return Rev.
Burt visited his father, J. A. Burl, at
Augusta, U?.? also his sister, Mrs.
J. D. Smith at Glovervillc, S. C. Fart
of the return trip included Daytona
Beach an.i St. Augustine, Fla.
The round trip was made without

A short game was played between
Rosman and Toxaway on the latter's
field Saturday aftecnoon. Results
were 9-tj in favor of Rosman. It is
stated that there will be a ballgame
each Saturday of the season with
some team of the 4-team league.

In the afternoon the Woodmen will
