PENROSE WALLOPS LAKE TOXAWAY BOYS Looked Like Shut-Out Until McNeely Smacked Out A Double In Eighth. Penrose walloped Toxaway pretty hard Saturday in the opening league game. Everything through the seven th looked like playing a shut-out or whitewash as you may "kid" it. But you never can tell. McNeely came with a smile and smacked out a double in the eighth and brought in Owens for one run. ' The Toxaway boys played a good game in good spirit and promise tc make us an in teresting opponent. "Lanky" Wil liams did excellent mound duty in al lowing only 4 hits in his six innings. Joe Hamlin, new man behind the bat, was all pep and activity. J. Lyday was ieading base stealer doing only 5 of them. A fair attendance of appreciative fans, uld and new, witnessed the ganit aiu| lent support. Box score: Toxaway Ab R PI Pu A E l.ev. ;'b 2 0 0 0 t 2 K. Hall, If 4 0 1 1 0 0 1!. Hal! rf 4 0 2 0 0 0 M.
