THE FRAfiKLIfJ PRESS SUPPLEMT. FRANKLIN, N. (WEDNESDAY , DECEMBER 12, 1906. A New Kind of Kissing Bug. Among the Visitors here lust ' week from the West was a man who wore no whiskers about his mouth or on his chin only allow ed them to grow on his neck and around the edgo of his face and no moustache at all, causing the gentleman to look a little odd. In reply to the question of why he went so odd, stated that he was a preacher and belonged to some kind of a church that required both sexes of this church to kiss each other only, and all whiskers were cut from about the mouths of the males so there would be no obstruction on the lips whatever. We did not learn how many mcm Imu's belonged to his church but suppose they are few in number. We would not belong to anything that would prevent us from kiss ing a sister occasionally. It is use less to say that the stranger came and left without receiving a single kiss. Dahlonega ((ia.) Nugget. The editor sat in his oflice . whence all but him had lied, and he wished that every dead-beat was in his grave -stone dead. His mind then wandered faraway to the time when he should die, and his royal editorial soul go scooting to the sky, when he'd roam the fields of paradise and sail o'er ,Jacr seas, and ail things glorious would combine his every sense to please. He thought how, then, he'd look across the great gulf dark and drear, that'll yawn between his happy soul and those who swindled here, and when for water they would call in agony they'd caper, he'd shout to them: "Just quench your thirst with the due that's on your paper."
