Countv * * * Chapter Of American Red Cross Traveling 14.300 miles and mak ing 13,200 calls since December, 1941, the Jackson County Chapter of the American Red Cross has 1 rendered indispensable aid to the service men of Jackson county and their families. Acting as a go-be tween from the home of the ser vice man and his point of service, j hundreds of boys have been con tacted whose families had had no word in months. They* have as sisted service men in getting to , and from their post of duty and by authority of the Post Command er have made loans to care for emergency furloughs. They assist wives whose husbands have been killed in service in getting the pen- ! s;on. Through the National Service Life Insurance Service they assist in Insurance, Adjustments.
