Reorganize The Young People's Training Union at Cuilowhee held "Open House" last Sunday night, and all Baptist students and other young folks were given a special invita tion to attend. The two unions pooled their efforts under the lead ership of Mrs. James Ramsey in giving an excellent program to the assembly on 1 "The Early New Testament Church". 'line evening's activities were climaxed with the election of tne new Baptist Stu dent Union council members, which is an organization to link the Bap tist religious lue ?< the student body through the local church with t :c college. Customarily the new council for 3. S. U. is elected near the end of toe spring term on college cam puses and serves during the fol lowing .school year, however, this was not the decision at WCTC last sprmg. This year's enthusiasm in ail of the' unit organizations of the Baptist students has presented a spontaneous and obvious need for the rc-organizution of the B.S.U. council. Students elected to serve throughout the remainder of the current school year are: Virginia Gallimore, president, Greenville, S. C.; Paul Monroe, first vice presi dent, Tabor City; Harry Duke, second vice president, Andover, Mass.; Bonnie Stroup, third vice president, Alexis; Mrs. Velma Ramsey, secretary, Hondersonville; ! Howard Barnwell, treasurer, Black Mt.; Ruth Hooper, chorister, Cui lowhee; Dukie Wheelis, reporter. Louisburg. Grain export quotas for Febru ary 1948 announced today by the U. S.
