Several acres of pasture have been cleared off and lime and phosphat applied, a barn andj chicken house built, and a new home constructed. The home sur-1 roundings have been improved i by setting out shrubbery, but the thing that Mrs. Mathis is the most pleased about, is the new can house which has running water in it. Mrs.'Mathis made this im-j provcment to her home from the -ale of eggs. Mr. and Mrs. Thad Farmer of ' the Webster section have become interested in growing a supply of fruit for home use. Several young apple trees and quite a few straw berry plant* have been put out and are doing fine. It may be that the Farmers will increase their strawberry patch in order to have some to Mil. They can't be beat .'or a cash crop where a family has suitable ground for growing this srrull tiruit. Eulas Coggins on Mill Creek certainly has had success with lad ino clover and orchard grass in .lis pasture. He is also using it for nay and l.ke* it. I won't say here the number of cattle his small pasture it carrying per acre, but it you hare a chance, go by and see for youraelf.
