They not only have some good livestock to begin with but they have some feed crops in the making. Ladino clover and orchard grass will be seeded and fertilized in accordance with recommendations of the State Soil Laboratory. *You cannot have good cattle without good feed. Turpin Plans Summer Pasture John Turpin, a new dairyman of the Qualla section, is planning ahead to have plenty of feed during the hot months of July and August. His plan calls for seeding about I two acres of sweet sudan grass around the first of June. This crop thrives in hot weather and dairy cows like it.
