The very successful food handlers', school which was held last year | in Franklin by the district health I department convinced these operators of the value and importance of the schools. The Franklin school in 1948 was held earlier in the season, however, before some of the resort employees had arrived for the seasonal work, and for that reason the operators requested the second school the third week of June, when all personnel will be able to be present and reap the benefits of such schools. The food handling schools previously held throughout North Carolina have proven to be of immense value to operators in training persons engaged in this business for livelihood.
