Mr. Tompkins stated that the WCC also is anxious to receive information from all persons, military and civilian, concerning personal injury, impairment of health, torture, unpaid wages for labor, etc., due to enemy action during World War II. Mr. Tompkins states that he has the proper forms for reporting such information in his office located at the American Legion Home, and will render any assistance necessary in completing * them. Under the act creating it in 1948 the War Claims Commission is re- ^ quired to make this survey of war * damages suffered by individuals, corporations, etc., and make its report to the President, for referral to Congress, by March 31st ot this year. To be included in this report, completed forms must be received in Washington by March I 2nd. * District and County veterans | service officers still have available forms to be used by former | prisoners of war in applying for | the $1.00 a day prisoner of war allowance. Payment of these claims, Mr. Tompkins points out, is not made from ub liovernment funds but are paid out of impounded enemy funds and property in this country. Yields of some oat varieties were reduced sharply* in 1949 because of a fungus which has not yet j been identified. RITZ THEATRE WEEKLY PROGRAM ' Night Shows: 7:00 & 9:00 P.M. Mat.
