Landers, brake- man on French Broad Railway at Runnion, was practically killed outright Monday night about 10 o'clock. He was doing some work about the train and was supposed to have fallen beneath the car. One arm and eg was cut off and the train ran across his body. He lived about three fourths of an hour.
