Miss 'Orla and Floy Lewis and Messrs. Belford Proffitt, Glen Shel ton, Eldridge Lewis and Otis Crain all called on Mrs. C. M. Farmer and Miss Ollie Wild Saturday night and enjoyed some fine Victrola music. Messrs. Carlie Rice, Dewey and Gracon Griffin of Big Laurel, N. C, are very busy cutting and getting out poles on Mr. Amos Capps' land. Mr. David Phillips of Little Creek was visiting on Foster sunday. C, motored to Dand ridge, Tenn., and were quietly mar ried. Mrs. Hazelwood comes from a prominent Cocke county family, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. Creed F. Gregg, who reside three miles north of Newport. She has been a teacher in this state and eastern North Car olina for a number of years. The couple will make their home in Hot Springs, N. C.
