J. 2.11 V 1 a ' I ti-r.Z ' 111 O it There has never been a more happy moment in my Hie than the feeling that came to me at the "COUNT OUT" last Saturday night. In spite of all things that were said against me you voted for me and made me the high candidate for Sheriff. You will never know just how great is my appreciation to every one of you for your loyalty to me. Some day I shall show you by my acts just how much I appreciate you. To those of my friends who did not support me in this race I tell you here and now that I am your friend too. I know you had good reason for voting for the other candidates, all of whom were good men, and my friends. If you have any doubt, please call upon me sometime for a favor an.d see if I do not do all I can to help you. I thank everyone for this great honor and after I am elected your Sheriff I shall do my best to do the right thing as GOD GIVES ME WISDOM TO SEE THE RIGHT. It grieves me very much to have to call upon you to again go to the polls on the 27th day of June, 1942, and vote for me again, but I have been forced into a second primary at a tremen-r' uous cost to the taxpayers and people of Madison County. As I have told many of you before, if I were beaten only one vote I would have congratulated my opponent and told him that I was . his strongest supporter in the gejJ ejection. Now, since fP forced to enter a secon,d primary'f'Fam calling upon the Repub lican voters of Madison County to support me again in this second primary. We shall fight a good fight. We shall keep the faith, and we shall win the victory. Your Servant, JETER P. RAMSEY AAAAAjf THAHK YOU Taf' i "5 !...
