A nice crowd attended church at
The Flats Sunday. The Rev, Cole
man Caldwell, pastor, was accompa
nied by the Rev. Calvin Metcatf and
his fiancee. The Rev. Mr. Metcalf,
a student at Carson-Newman Col
lege, delivered a wonderful message.
Mr. Metcalf will conduct another Bi
ble School here this summer. Our
Training Union is progressing nice
ly. Our attendance has doubled since
we organized the first Sunday in
March. We wish to see more par
ents come with their children; and
let's have a hundred or more mem
bers. New curtains have been ad
ded to the classrooms, which are an
improvement.
We have a lot of sickness in our
community at present. Most of the
illness is measles. Hope they will
soon be over.

with her sister in Waynesville for
the past winter, is back home now.
