He will next report to Oakland, Calif., where he will make port call for Korea. Misses Janice and Patsy Luns ford returned to Washington, D. C, Monday night after spending a week with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Lunsford and fam ily of Marshall RFD 4. Mrs. Bronie Ramsey and small son, Dwayne, of Sandwich, I1L, re turned to their home Wednesday after spending two weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emery Wallin of Marshall RFD 4. Mrs. William Worley and daugh ter, Miss Hazel Worley of Mar shall left Saturday for Conway, S. C, where she will visit her -daughters, i Mrs. James Hardee and Mrs. Jack Martin and their .families. Moody Chandler is spend ing this Week in Greeneville, Ten nessee due to the critical illness of her 97-year-old ' mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Ramsay, who is a pati ent in Greeneville hospital. Miss Ila Tillery of Alexandria, Va., is spending several days here due to the illness of her mother, Mrs. Laura Tillery. Mrs. Tillery is recuperating at her home fol lowing a light stroke which she suffered several days ago. The Rev. S. J. Fortner, who has been connected with a Gospel Mission in Los Angeles, Califor nia for several months, returned to Marshall Tuesday night, and is at the home of his sister, Mrs. Frank Essick and family. They did all of the work except for the headlines and I must congratulate them for an excellent job. I don't believe any other school in the county is having a paper this year because we send them all copies of our , paper and so far have re ceived no exchanges. Baptist Youngsters To Be At Mars Hill Saturday Approximately 650 youngsters from Baptist churches throughout the western end of the state are expected at Mars Hill Saturday for a music festival. The visitors, ages 9-14, are members of the junior choir in their home churches. The program at Mars Hill College will be one of three such district choir festi vals sponsored by v the Baptist State Convention's Music Depart ment. ' Guest conductor for the session will be Ronald Wells, minister of music at the First Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas.
