Ebbs, truck driver for ETA EN A trucking lines, waa painfully hurt Saturday morning He had taken his track to Knox villa for repairs, and was on his way home. Stopping near the State line and parking his truck, he was talking to another truck driver. A ear driven by James Oompton approached and, Just op poaite Mr. Ebbs, a tire blew out. causing the car to skid and hit Mr. Ebbs. He was rushed to Val entine Hospital, Newport, but was dismissed after being treated for cuts and bruises. His truck waa damaged considerably. Miss Linda Messer is hospital ised in Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville. Miss Ruby Estes of Johnson City and Mrs. B. C. Kirby spen' Monday In Candler and Canton with friends. Father Graves is here from Georgetown University. M. H. Norton, 72, Native Of County, Passes Saturday M. H. (Hack) Norton, 79, of Penrose Rt 1, died Saturday af ternoon, August 83, 1M4, in a Henderson County hospital after a period of declining health. He was a native of Madison County, son of tit late Jesse and Rebecca Ball Norton, and had liv ed in Henderson County for the past SO years. He was a retired farmer. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Nellie Ball Norton; five sons, Boy of Penrose, Markus of Toledo. Ora, Harry, Berry and Lionel of Reedsport, Ore; a daughter, Mrs. H. J.
