If You Intend To Do This VOTE REPUBLICAN and make arrangements for your Economic and Social Funeral when you vote . The following ad is written and paid for by a citizen of Madison County who holds no political job and desires none. Some twelve years ago the DEMOCRATS were voted into office in Madison County. During the past twelve years you have seen the following reforms and progressive steps made in your local, state and national governments: 1. All school teachers have been given steady pay rais es and a sound retirement program established for all state employees. 2. Farmers have received a steady increase for all farm produce. Before 1950 I operated a large farm and sold many thousands of pounds of tobacco for less than ten cents per pound. 3. Before 1950 there was not a single industry in Mad ison County. The Republicans controlled the coun ty at this time. Since the Democrats have been in office four industries, employing several hundred people, have been established in Madison County. Under the Democrats the old and infirm have been taken care of. The "POOR HOUSE" north of Mar shall has been abolished. The Democratic Party gave you SOCIAL SECURITY. Without this many retired people could not live. 5. Under the Republican rule we had but two paved roads in Madison County. Since 1950 our country roads have been paved and improved. YOU ARE NOW OUT OF THE MUD IN MOST SECTIONS OF MADISON COUNTY. 6. Remember that Castro came into power under EISENHOWER. The Bay of Pigs was planned un der EISENHOWER by Allen Dulles, an appointee of EISENHOWER. The present situation in Asia was planned and started under EISENHOWER.
