Terrel and Mrs. Clo ts Lippard left last Friday for Philadelphia where they will visit Mr. and Mrs. Seth Lippard and children until after Thanksgiving. Mr. and Mrs. Walter P. Smith have moved into their new house on Little Mountain. And Mrs. Iris Buckner has mov ed into her new house near Mars Hill on the Marshall road. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bass ac companied their daughter June (Mrs. Ronald Griffin) and little Bon to Charleston, S. C, Nov. 6 where she and the little son took a plana to Frankfort, Germany to Join her husband who Is in U .3. Army service there. Mr. and Mrs. Bass have beard from her saying she had a good trip over and that they are all right Her husband is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Grif fin, of Mars Hill At 1. And Mrs. Dianne Ferguson Ran dolph, daughter of Mr. and Mrs E. D. Ferguson, of Mars Hill Rt. 3, left recently to join her hus band, Douglas Gordon Randolph, In Rota, Spain, where he iss erv ing with the U. S. Navy. Mr. Ran dolph is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Randolph, of Mars Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lamberson, of Indianapolis, Ind., visited their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Lamberson, here last week. Alpine specializes in the installa tion of telephone instruments and equipment, and operates through out the Southeast and Middle At lantic states. The Honeycutts will join Al pine's operations in Indiana, and will make Valparaiso their head quarters. Alpine also operates crews in Richmond, Connersville, Logansport, and Valparaiso, in Indiana, and has several teams of installation specialists throughout the state of Kentucky. Communication Cable Schools, the only training center of its type in the Southeast, also offers pre-employiment training for the D. O. Cresaman Company, which provides contractual assistance to the telephone industry in the de sign and installation of cable pressurization systems, fault lo cation and cable splicing and maintenance. They were trained as members of artillery gun or howitzer crews. Markotlng cards which farm operators will use in accounting for the disposition made of this year'a tobacco production will be issued through the mall, according to announcement by Ralph Ram sey, Office Manager for Madison Counyt ASCS. Ramsey said that warehouses will open to receive tobacco on November 20 and that marketing cards wil be mailed to farm oper ators on or near November 17 in order that they may have them for use in placing tobacco on ware house floors prior to November 20 will not be eligible for price support and that marketing cards must be presented to the warehouse re presentative when it is weighed in so as to identify it as being eligible for support and for record ing the marketing card serial number on the floor sheet.
