SHUPK I wrote about a page about my new car, but Shupc didn't like it and probably John and Robert would sue me foi what I said about it, so here I begin to tell you the story of my life up to this moment. Gee, It's been three weeks since I wrote this mess because I wrote about my mouse troubles the week Of the election and Pop lost it some place and left it out that week and used it last week. 1 lora mm i leu like shooting him for not using it the week I sent it in, but he was agreeable said he was so messed up getting the election returns in his paper that if I had the gun ready to go ahead! We were real proud of Larry Moore being elected president of the Editors Roundtable at Cullo whee last week-end. He is a fine boy and I think will make an ex cellent presiding officer for the group. We have had several oth er fine students serve as presi dent of the Roundtable. There was Eldridge Leake, Mike Led ford, Davia Ann Massey, and wo elected Richard Wild assistant ed itor last year, but he just dashed off high school during last sum mer and now goes to college. Best otf luck, Larry, and we'll be ex pecting great things of you from now on. It's hard to believe that foot ball season is over and basketball is here again. The girls and boys are all enthused about getting suits fitted and making the team. It looks like we have a good group lined up for both the boys and girls at Marshall High this year. And a big "thanks" for the good job Coach Ponder and his boys did during the football season. There's more to going through a season than racking up a big record of wins. The squad did an excellent job and we're proud of them. While we're passing out thanks, we must say we're happy for the Mars Hill team that is still go ing strong and we hope they win right on through to the state championship. We may fight dur ing the season, but to the team we say "The best to you!''
