Suttles of Hot Springs and the
late Ollie Reese Sottles.
Surviving in addition to the fa
r are the husband, Dallas Lowe;
three sons, Jack of California, and
Freddy and David Lowe, both of
the home; two daughters, Misses
Connie and Linda Lowe, both of
fche home; two sisters, Mrs. S. T.
Swanger of Lake Junaluska and
(Mm, Joe Duckett of Clyde Rt. 3;
three brothers, J. D. and Roy, both
(of Hot Springs Rt. 1 and Thur
mon Suttles of Chicago, 111.
Services were held at 2:30 p.
m., Monday in Meadow Fork Bap
tist Church.
The Rev. Elmer CJoode and the
Rev. Lloyd Young officiated and
burial was in Poplar Gap Come-tery.

"TTawena Ball, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. W. T. Ball, and Glenna
Murray, daughter of Mrs. Orla
C. Murray, have arrived in Reeds
port, Oregon where they are vis
iting relatives and friends.
While in the west, the two girls
plan to visit California, the Pa
fcific Ocean, prehistoric gardens,
deep sea aquarium and many oth
er points of interest.
Mrs. Berry Norton, of Reeds
port, say that this is the first
trip west for the two girls and
that they are having the "time of
their lives."

David C. Murray, grandson of
Mrs. Sallie Davis, has just been
awarded a citation for training
achievement, aptitude and atten
tion to duty. He had basic train
ing at Fort Ord, Calif., and is now
spending a 15-day furlough at his
home before leaving for a two
veeks' leadership course at Fort
Knox, Ky. He will then go to Fort
Benning, Ga., where he will enter J

88 exieting townships and created
the following new townships, and
identified as follows:
