Saturday, May 20, 1972. at an Asheville hospial after an apparent heart attack. He was a native of Madison County and a retired farmer of die Walnut Creek community. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Nannie Ball Hunter; four sons, Melvin B. of Woodfin and Clarence, Wade and Ijeonard Hunter of Rt. 6, Marshall; four daughters, Mrs. Ernest Ball of Rt. 6, Marshall, Mrs. lister Uwis of Rt. 5, Marshall, Mrs. Scott Warren of Candler, Mrs. Hubert Deal. Jr., of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, W. B. Hunter of Swannanoa; 19 grand children ad two great grandchildren.
