All the clan have a special invitation. If you should have any heirloom or some keepsake, handed down, such as an old pitcher, old Bible or something hand made, or any article you wish to bring, please label it. It should tell a little history, even if it is only a line or two, or more. Be sure your name is on the article, too. There will be a display table designated for this. The program will begin at 11 o'clock; and the group picture will be made just before lunch. Singing, history, and en tertainment will be continued after lunch. (' 2880G Complete Biology Course At MHC Kenneth Buckner of Route 3, Mars Hill; Alex Farkas of Hot Springs, a Biology teacher at Hot Springs High School; Paul K Gunter of Route 3, Mar shall, a Biology teacher at Hot Springs High School; I)earl Wallen of Route 2, Weaverville; and I,arry West of Route 1, Marshall, a Biology teacher at Marshall High School, nave recently completed the National Science Foundation Biological Sciences Curriculum Study Workshop held at Mars Hill College June 11 through June 29. The workshop, Im plementation of Biological Science: An Ecological Ap proach, seeks to instruct teachers in utilizing ecological approaches in their high school classes Provisions Made At WCU For Teachers CUUX)WHEE - Special provisions will be made at Western Carolina University for public school teachers whose new ten-month academic year conflicts with the closing days of WCU's second summer session. According to Dr Jerry Rice, director of the WCU summer school, arrangements will be made within each department of the university for students to complete their courses early when it is necessary for them to report to their teaching positions before the summer session closing date of August 17. The new policy applies only to those students who are also public school teachers. Un dergraduate courses will not be affected. Dr. Rice said the starting date for the new ten-month contract period can vary from county to county, but mosi western counties wiH require teachers to begin work Aug. 3 He said his office is working in a 1974 summer school calendar that will take Into consideration the ten-month public school academic year.
