"Project" I, and
WHEREAS, it is desired to
issue general obligation bonds
of the Town of Marshall in the
aggregate principal amount of
not to exceed One Hundred
Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars
($185,000) to provide funds,
together with other available
funds, to finance the cost of
the Project:
NOW, THEREFORE, THE
BOARD ALDERMEN OF
THE TOWN OF
MARSHALL, NORTH
CAROLINA, DOES HEREBY
ORDER:
2. That for the purpose of
providing funds, together with
other available funds, to
finance the cost of the Project,
general obligation bonds of the
Town of Marshall, North
Carolina, are hereby
authorized to be issued in the
maximum aggregate prin
cipal amount of One Hundred
Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars
($185,000).
2 That a tax sufficient to
pay the princiapl of and in
terest on the bonds when due
shall be annually levied and
collected
3. Revenues derived from
the Project may be pledged to
the payment of the interest on
and principal of the bonds if
and to the extent that the
Board of Aldermen of the
Town of Marshall shall
hereafter so determine by
resolution adopted prior to the
issuance of the bonds. In the
event that any revenues of the
Project shall be pledged to the
payment of the bonds, the tax
referred to in paragraph 2
hereof may be reduced by the
amount of revenues derived
from the Project available for
the payment of the principal of
and interest on the bonds.
4. That a sworn statement of
debt has been filed with the
Clerk and is open to public
inspection.
5 That this order shall take
effect when approved by the
voters of the Town of Marshall
at an election as provided in
The Local Government Bond
Act "
The foregoing order has
been introduced and a sworn
statement of debt has been
filed under the Local
Government Bond Act
showing the appraised value
of the Town of Marshall to be
$6,83575.00 and the net debt,
including the proposed bonds,
to be $250,000.00. A tax will be
levied to pay the principal and
interest on the bonds if they
are issued. Anyone who
wishes to be heard on the
questions of the validity of the
bond order and the ad
visability of issuing the bonds
may appear at a public
hearing or aa adjournment
thereof to be held at City Hall,
