IB, 1974 In; ; an Asheville hospital after. long illness. ; She was a lifelong restdent of Madison County and C daughter of the late Lee and Margaret Ramsey Henderson: and widow of Cecil McDevitt, who died in 1960. Surviving are a brother, Roy Henderson of Marshall; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Blankenship of Marshall and Mrs. Ethel Stradling of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. Services were held at 2:30 p. m. Monday at Bowman Duck ett Funeral Home. The Revs. Warren Reece and George Moore officiated. Burial was in Bowman-Rector Cemetery. Pallbearers will be R J. Plemmons, Jack Guthrie, Chester Thomas, Dean Rigsby, Robert and Moody Chandler. W. A. FISHER Willie A. Fisher, a native of Madison County, died Sunday Jan. 20, 1974 at his home in KnoxviJle, Tenn., after a long illness. A son of the late Posey and Thursa Jane Fox Fisher, he has lived in Knoxville for 14 years. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Dora Mae Kent Fisher; six sons, Carl, Locke, Posey and Oscar Fisher of Knoxville. Harl Fisher of Asheville and Carroll Fisher of Candler; six daughters, Mrs. Gita Collins and Mrs. Willie Mae Tredeau of Knoxville, Mrs. Harriett Duckett and Mrs. Eula Surrett of Asheville, Mrs. Lillie Club of Arden and Mrs. Thursa Benfield of Canton; 51 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday of last week at Gabriel's Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Ben Whaley officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Grandsons were pallbearers. H. M. CASSADA Hubert M. Cassada, 79, of Augusta, Ga. and formerly of Madison County, died Thursday Jan. 24, 1974 in an Augusta VA hospital after a long illness. He had lived in Augusta for 40 years and was a veteran of World War L Surviving .arts a brother, Richard Cassada of Asheville; and three sisters, Mrs. Francis Ramsey and Mrs. Grady Teague of Marshall and Mrs. Richard Dockery of Alexander. Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Piney Grove Baptist Church. The , Revs. Sam Austin and Jack, Davi officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Nephews 't were pallbearers. MRS. CANEY PAYNE Mrs. Onie Payne, 95, of the Big Pine community, Rt 7 Marshall, died Thursday Jan. 24, 1974 at her home aftar a long illness. n A native and lifelong resident of Madison Couaty, she was a daughter of the late Evin and Laura Boyd Worley : and the widow of Caney Payne, who died in 1956. Surviving are three- sons, Henry Payne of Detroit, ' Mich., Evin and Jerry Payne of Marshall; eight daughters, Mrs. Belva Henderson, Mn. f One Baker, Mrs. Clemmie Worley, Mrs. Nellie Massey, Mrs. Evie Payne, and Mrs, . Merle Davis of Marshall, Mrs. i Paralee Tweed of Leicester and Mrs. Elsie SaUioppe of ; Ecorse, Mich.; six brothers, Henry, Arthur, Jetter, Chester, Loy and Plato Worley of Marshall; 39 grandchildren,'' 59 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Lower Big Pine Baptist Church. The Revs. Dewey Rogers and ' Jimmy Buckner officiated. Burial was ta.Aler Worley Cemetery. Grandsons ere pallbearers. r MRS.
