A new air-water system and new snow guns have been added to the present snowmaking capability this year. This addition will add 50 percent to last year's man made snow. According to Barr, the runs from the top of the double chair lift should be open 80 percent of the time compared to 10 percent last year. Wolf Laurel's rates have not been increased this year. A special student weekend and holiday rate has been added this year in response to student interest. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of candlelight chinoette trimmed in lace. Her veil was attached to a Juliet cap and she carried a bouquet of white and red flowers. Mrs. Katherine Miller of Cullowhee and Miss Roxana Whitt of Pippa Passes, Ky., Opens; Improvements lodge and a restaurant. The 81-room Wolf Laurel Inn is also open to accommodate skiers. Wolf Laurel beginners' run is ideal for the first-time skier, with five other runs to offer more challenging winter sport for the experienced skier. Three ski lifts, including one for the beginners' course, allow easy access. A double chair lift up the main run takes skiers over 3000 feet and a third lift stretches for 1,000 feet up a long ridge line to afford expert skiers a good test of their abilities. The Wolf Laurel slope drops from 4,700 feet above sea level from the top to 4,000 feet above seal level to the lodge at the foot of the run, providing an excellent run. The wide slope is an added safety factor, making it difficult for even an inexperienced skier to go astray. Wolf Laurel Is offering; Ski ' Packairt Special withjadging at Wolf Laurel Inn, breakfast, ski lessons and equipment and lift tickets, all at one package price. The package plan will be of particular interest to the new skier since it includes lessons and equipment, but can also be tailored for ex perienced skiers without lessons or equipment. Miss Edwards To Be On TV Special Miss Linda Edwards of The Farmhouse, Blowing Rock, will appear in one of a pair of national public television specials taped last summer at the Aspen Music Festival. The two specials, "Music From Aspen" and "More Music From Aspen," were produced in San Francisco, for national distribution by the Public Broadcasting .Service.
