Reunion
On August 7
The annual Crowe reunion
will be held on the Island in
Marshall on Aug. 7. This
reunion originated at the home
of L.J. and Axie King Crowe on
Aug. 13, 1927, honoring Mrs.
Crowe's birthday and has been
held since that date on the first
Sunday in August.
"This being our 50th year,
we would like to make it the
best ever. We have been
getting a history of our family
together for the past few years
and will have it in book form
along with pictures. Obituaries
will also be read at this
meeting. All Crowes, relatives
and friends are cordially in
vited to bring a picnic lunch
and spend a wonderful day

Mr. and Mrs Wade Huey
and Mr. and Mrs. Lon Sluder
returned Tuesday of last week
from Myrtle Beach, S. C.,
where they attended the Four
State Conference of Farm
Credit Service.
Huey and Sluder are
members of the board of
directors of the Asheville
district of which Huey is
chairman. The district is
composed of 14 Western North
Carolina counties.
More than 1,250 presidents
and directors attended the
convention which was highly
successful.
