CF Results Announced Mrs Mane Osteen, chair person for the Kiss Your Baby Campaign for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Paint Rock, Sleepy Valley, and Lower Shut-In communities, announces that the campaign has been completed Total funds collection were $80 Mrs Osteen explains that the funds will be used for research, care, treatment, and teaching to help those youngsters suffering with cystic fibrosis, asthma, em physema, bronchiectasis, and bronchitis. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in North Carolina supports the Duke CF Center at Duke Medical Center in Durham along with 110 other such centers in the country 150,000 North Carolina youngsters suffer with these incurable lung diseases 260,000 adults in North Carolina carry the cystic fibroris gene Cystic fibrosis occurs one in 1,600 births when both parents are carriers of the gene Life expectancy for CF parents is age 18.
