Madison Deaths Ida Goforth Ida Bradburn Goforth, M, of Gtrm Creek Road, Fair view. died Thursday in an Asheville nursing home fallowing a long illness. A native of Madison County and a resident of Buncombe County for ? years, she was a daughter of the late D.F. and Nancy Greene Bradburn and the wife of the late W.H. Goforth. Surviving are three daughters, Eva Potvorosa of San Leandro, Calif., and Edith Wh j taker and Marie Wright of Fairview; two sons, F.H. Goforth Jr. of Bell, Fla., and the Rev. J W Goforth of Fair view; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of which she was a member The Rev. Bob Ponder and the Rev. Francis A Lunsford officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery Services were provided by Grace Funeral Home Plumer Fortner Pliamer Fortner, 57, of Her ron Cove Road, Route 1, Weaverville was dead on ar rival Friday at an Asheville hospital. A native of Madison County and a resident of Bunbombe County for the past 40 years, he was employed by Grace Fuel Co. He was the son of the late James and Hester Caldwell Fortner. Surviving are a sister, Lillie Mae Davis of Barnardsville; four brothers, Lige, Calvin and Paul Fortner of Weaver ville and Silas Fortner of Fair view; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at 11 ajn Monday in the West Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bud Morrow officiated. Burial was in West Memorial Park. T.E. Justice Thomas E. Justice Sr., 78, of Route 1 Hot Springs died July 29 in a Haywood County hospital after a long illness. A native of Haywood County and a resident of Madison County most of his life, he was a retired farmer and a son of the late Joseph and Sarah Capps Justice. Surviving are his wife, Thelma Lindsey Justice; two sons, Joe Jutice of Hot Springs and Thomas E. Justice Jr. of Clyde; three daughters, Catherine Ledford of Hot Spr ings, Polly Ledford of Newport News, Va., and Linda James of Clyde; seven grand children and two great grandchildren. Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lusk Chapel Bap tist Church of which he was a member. The Rev. Ray Justice and the Rev. Billy Gillespie officiated. Burial was in Woody Cemetery Bowman Funeral Home was in charge. Bill Deaver Thomas William Deaver, 67, of Miami Springs. Fla., formerly of Madison County, died Monday in a Sebron, Fla. hospital according to word received here Monday An Air Force veteran of World War II, he was a son of the late O.W. and Pearl Deaver and was retired from the Pan American Airlines with 39 years of service. Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel ot Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The Rev. Perry Crane and the Rev Billy Dodd officiated. Burial was in Grandview Bap tist Church Cemetery. William G. Brown William G. "Buster" Brown, 65, of Willow Creek Raod, Route 2 Leicester died Thursday in an Asheville hospital following a long il iness.
