Marshall Susan Renee Galloway and Richard Earl (Ricky) Harrel were united in marriage on Friday, Dec. 4. at 7 p.m. at the Madison Seminary Baptist Church in Marshall. The ceremony was conducted by , the Rev. David Clark; pastor of the church. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Martha Jo Galloway and ! the late George M. Galloway of Dula Springs Road in Weaverville. ? The bridegroom is the son of | Walter and Katie Harrell of ; Route 6, Marshall. The maid of honor was Pam ; Hagan. sister of the bride, of Weaverville. Mr. Walter Har rell was his son's best man. Ushers were Billy Dill ingham, Steve Wilde, both of Marshall, friends of the ' bridegroom. David Carter of Mars Hill, cousin of the bride, also served as usher. Stephanie Evans of Weaver ville served as her cousin's flower girl, and Lane i McMahan, nephew of the I bridegroom, of Marshall, i served as ringbearer. The bride was given in mar } riage by her brother, Greg ; Galloway. She was attired in a gown of white slipper satin ? with a lace yoke. The front neckline was rounded with the collar raised in back. The gown had long lace sleeves. The back rounded into a train which matched the floor length veil. The bride carried a bridal bouquet of roses. The maid of honor was at tired in a long accordion pleated floral priat of mulberry and mauve. Her headpiece was of baby's breath. She carried two long stemmed pink raees. The bridesmaids were at tired in solid accordion pleated long dresses of wine, similar to the maid of honor. They carried a long-stemmed pink rose. The bridesmaids were Leeca McMahan, spter of the bridegroom, of Mar shall, Peggy Fox, friend of the bride, of Weaverville, and Tammy Hollar, cousin of the bride, of Weaverville. Mrs Vickie Wilson played the piano and Melia Chandler sang. Donna Ward was the organist. Mrs. Willis presented a program of wed ding music before the ceremony. Melia Chandler sang "What a Difference You've Made in My Life.'' Mrs. Wilson sang the "Wed ding Song" just before the bride entered. Mrs. Ward played for the processional and recessional. She also played "Whither Thou Goest" and "Our Wedding Prayer" during the ceremony. The church was decorated with white iron archway and candles on each side. The church had a kneeling bench in the center. Greenery of ivy and fern interlaced also added to the color of the church. Wedding bell made by the bridegroom's mother were mixed thru the archway. An arrangement of ice pink flowers were used, with candles surrounded by greenery decorated the win dows. Following the ceremony a reception was held in the church annex. Assisting were Mrs. Waldo McDevitt, sister of the bridegroom, of Mar shall, Mrs. Wanda Edmonds of Mars Hill and Mrs. Bula Fisher of Marshall, aunts of the bridegroom. Mrs. Stella Mae Evans, cousin of the bride also assisted. The three-tiered cake was decorated with pink flowers and was setting on top of a waterfall. The top of the cake was attired with a replica of a bride and groom. The bride's mother was at tired in a long floral print of pink and wine. Her corsage was of white rose buds. The bridegroom's mother wore a long plaid skirt with matching solid blazer. Her corsage was of white rose buds. The bride's book was kept \ by Mrs. Katie Edmond, cousin of the bride, and Miss Rebecca Edmonds, cousin of the j bridegroom . The wedding was j directed by Mrs. W.C. Ward who was assisted by Mrs. Wayne McDevitt and Mrs. I Frank Fisher. The couple will reside in j Marshall. The bride is a graduate of I North Buncombe High School and is employed by Conrad In dustries of Weaverville. The bridegroom is a graduate of Madison High School and is now a Pfc. in the Marine Corps stationed at Camp LeJeune in Jackson. N.C. T Roberts-McElreath I Karen Joyce Roberts of Asheville and Timothy Steven McElreath of Leicester were married at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 in Bell Methodist Church here. The Rev. Enoch Ball officiated. The bride is the daughter of (Inez Roberts of 32 Success St., Asheville. and the late Mark Roberts. She was given in ^ marriage by her brother, Jef fry Grey Roberts. Mr. and Mrs. Earl McElreath Jr. of Leicesttrare parents of the bridegroom . His father was best man. Debbie R. Nave of Arden, sister of the bride, was maid of ; honor. Bridesmaids were Cheryl Pierce of Henderson ville, Sandra Rash of Asheville and Melinda McElreath of Leicester, sister of the bridegroom Junior attendants were ? A reception was held. The bride graduated from Erwin High School in 1877 and is employed as assistant manager of Biltmore Famous Brands. The bridegroom also graduated from Erwin High in 1977. He is employed by Federal Crop Insurance of the Agriculture Conservation Ser vice The couple will reside in m Leicester. DREWNOSKI CHOSEN Mike Drewnoski of Route 7, Marshall, has been chosen as senior citizen for the month of November. He is a retired in ventory manager with the U.S. Navy.
