Senior Salute To The Madison High School Class Of '84 Prepared By The Staff Of Patriot Pride 175 To Graduate Friday Night By GRETA GRIFFIN The Madison High School Claw of 1964 will graduate on Friday at 7 p.m. at O.E. Roberts Stadium. In the event of rain, ceremonies will be conducted in the school's gymnasium. Before the ceremonies, there will be a reception for the graduates and their parents at 5:30 p.m. in the Media Center. Snacks and refreshments will be served. As in past years, the boys will be wearing blue gowns and girls will be dressed In white robes. The Madison High School band, with Harry Overby conducting, will provide music during the ceremonies. Senior Cheryll Reeves will pre sent the invocation, after which student body president Norman Grace will present the welcoming address. Richard Lambert and Tina Rice of the senior class are also ex pected to deliver short speeches. Madison County school superintendent Robert Edwanfc will be the principal speaker. The Madison High School chorus will also present two musical selections before the diplomas are presented to the graduates. Principal David Wyatt and Assistant Principal J. Bruce Phillips will present the diplomas. The Graduation Day activities are the result of a great deal of hard work on the part of the senior homeroom represen tatives, the Student Council and the teachers who sponsor the seniors. Julie Allison, Rhonda English, Sheila Griffin, Teresa Griffin, Rebecca Jarvis, Richard Lambert, Melissa Radford, Don na Robinson and Stephanie Thomas were the senior representatives. Junior-Senior Prom : A Night To Remember By CONDY DEITZ The annual Junior-Senior Prom was held at Deerpark on the grounds of the Biltmore Estateon April 21. The prom, which went on from 7:30 p.m. until midnight, was sponsored by the juraor class. Although the night air was a fait chilly, prom night saw the first nice weather in weeks. The dance featured several at tractions that kept things moving all night. A wide array of evening gowns were seen, ranging from strapless gowns to full sleeves, T-length to floor and straight to full. Those in attendance danced the night away to the sounds pro vided by the Hollywood Brats. Prior to the dance, a banquet was served. No less than 18 facul ty members served as chaperones and no one was allow ed in to the prom after 9 p.m. Prom Night was the culmina tion of much hard work on the part of the juniors.
