She carried a bouquet of white roses and baby's breath. The bride's sister, Gayle Payne Thackston of Atlanta, served as the matron of honor. Beverly Jeanne Coe, Beverly Rhodes Stahl and Nancy Smith Baccich served as bridesmaids. Kathy Flattery, Cherie Higgins, Grace Toler and Julie Rawlinson served as honor attendants. Frank Richard Knoop, Jr. of j Louisville, Ky. served as the best man. Joseph Childress, Dr. Joe Asa Griffin and Charles Thackston served as ushers. Following the ceremony, a recep tion was held in the Morehead Coun try Inn. The couple met while both were at tending graduate school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The bride is a graduate of the University of Georgia and the Univer sity of North Carolina. The bridegroom is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and the University of North Carolina. He is employed by Cox Cable Communica tions of Jefferson Parish, La. as a marketing analyst. Following a wedding trip to San Francisco and Hawaii, the couple will make their home in New Orleans, La.
