Services will be held in the chapel of the Capps Funeral Home in Mars Hill with the Revs. Joe Rice and Billy Murray officiating. Burial will be conducted in the Dill Cemetery. A Madison County resident for most of her life, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Hester Robin son and the widow of Uda Shook. Mrs. Shook is survived by her daughter, Pansy Ogle of Marshall; a sister, Vernie Clark of the home; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren Ruby D. Dobbins Ruby Davis Dobbins of Sweetwater Rd., Marshall died Monday at her daughter's home in Charlotte at the age of 67. Funeral arrangements will be an nounced by Bowman's Funeral Home in Marshall. Rhonda M. Stanley Funeral services were held Tues day afternoon for Rhonda Marlene Stanley of Rt. 2, Leicester who died Dec. 15 in an Asheville hospital at the age of 16. Services were held in the Cross Rock Baptist Church, of which she was a member, with the Rev. Glenn Clark officiating. Burial was con ducted in the church cemetery. A lifelong resident of Madison County, Miss Stanley was a student at Erwin H.S. and a member of the San dy Mush 4-H Gub. She was named the outstanding 4-H member in Bun combe County ifi 1963. She is survived by her parents. Wade and Pauline Sharpe Stanley; a brother, Roger Stanley of Leicester; a sister, Mrs. Kenneth Reeves of Leicester; and the paternal grand mother, Mae Stanley of Leicester. Demmie Haney Funeral services were held Tues day morning for Demmie Price Haney of Canton who died Dec. 16 in a Haywood County hospital at the age of 72. Services were held in the chapel of the Garrett Funeral Home in Canton with the Rev. Jim Ashe officiating. , Burial was conducted in the New Bon A-Venture Cemetery in Canton. A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Tilda McElrath Price. Mrs. Haney was a member of the Rockwood United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Jesse T. Haney; two sons, John T. and Roy Lee Haney of Granite Falls ; ington, Helen Shipman of Canton and Clara Trantham of Edneyville; a brother, Bulaa Price of Marion; 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Vertie Burnette Funeral services were held Tues day afternoon for Vertie Thomas Burnette of Et. 3, Mars Hill, who died Dec. 15 in an Aaheville hospital at the age of 91. Services were held in the Bright Hope-Laurel United Methodist Church, of which she was a memer, with the Revs. Charles Dun-ant, David Allman and Ed Ehresman of ficiating. Burial was conducted in the Upper English Cemetery. A lifelong resident of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Emmett and Lillie Davis Thomas and the widow of Bertram Burnette. Mrs. Burnette is survived by two daughters, Faye Gowen of Weaver ville and Bobbie Ann Snelson of Highland Falls, Va.; three sons, Grady Howell, B.E. Burnette and Wayne Burnette of Mars Hill; a brother, Theron Thomas of Weaver ville; two ha Id brothers. Junior Thomas of Mars Hill and J.C. Thomas of Indianapolis, Ind. ; three half sisters, Jessie Clark, Irene Pr ingle and Ann Fox ; 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren . Daisy R. Lewis Funeral services were held Friday for Daisy Rice Lewis of Lewis Branch Rd. who died Dec. 11 at her home at the age of 96. A lifelong resident of Madison County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Margaret Messer Rice. Mrs. Lewis was the widow of Theodore E. Lewis, who died in 1952. She is survived by two sons. Agnes S. McFall Funeral services were held on Saturday for Agnes S. McFall of Asheville who died Dec. 13 at the age of 84. A native of Madison County, she liv ed in Asheville for most of her life. She was a member of the West Asheville Baptist Church.
