Fletcher Crowder Fletcher C. "Fletch" Crowder, M, formerly of Ivy Gap community of Burnsville, died June 22 in Oak Hill, W.Va. A native of Madison County, he was a son of the late Elbert and Trissie Hensley Crowder. He was a crafts shop operator and a Royal Arts Mason. He was a member of Bald Creek Lodge No S87 AF&AM and Lover's Leap Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Grace Honeycutt Crowder; a daughter, Bet t.v M. Preast of Anstead, W.Va.; and. six grandchildren. Services were held last Thursday in the chapel of Holcombe Bros. Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Lowe officiated. Burial was in Fox Creek Cemetery with masonic rites by Bald Creek Lodge. Ransom E. Bowman Hansom E. Bowman, 83, flf New found Road, Leicester, died Sunday A native of Alexander County, he had lived in Buncombe County since 1838. He retired from the bridge department of the state highway department and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Retha Sim mons Bowman; two daughters, Nan cy Randall and Janet Cartwright of Asheville; three aistere, NoU Little, Fannie Tuthero and Braidie Reece, ai of Hickory; three brothers, Gaither Bowman of Hazelwood, Bruce Bowman of Leicester and Odell Bowman of Hickory; 14 grand children; and, 18 great grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home. The Revs. Charles Surrett and Charles Duvall officiated. Burial was in Cor inth Baptist Church cemetery. Alvin Randolph AJvin Vance Randolph, 59, of Aiken, S.C., died Saturday in an Augusta, tia., hospital. A native of Madison County, he had lived in Aiken for the past 34 years. He retired from DuPont and was a member of South Aiken Baptist Church. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Martha Jean Randolph; two sons, Randall S. Randolph of Columbia, S.C., and Larry C. Randolph of Aiken; his mother, AJethea Tipton Randolph of Granite Fall*; a brother, Calvin Ran dolph of Charlottesville, Va.; six sisters. Chick McDaris of Newton, Edith Crowder of Hendersonville, Ad die Thomas of Asheville, Irene Jones of Dallas, Texas, Atlas Kuhns of Williamsburg, Va., and Jean Keith of Lyman, S.C. ; and, a grandchild.
