Her many friends will be de lighted to know that she continues to improve. Miss Mary Barber returned to her Tuesday after a three weeks' ,.iait in Raleieh, Wilmington, and ! Rockingham. Miss Barber was ac companied home by Mrs. David Sin clair, of Wilmington, who will be her guest at her home here. Mrs. E. H. Hedrick; of Gaffney. S. C.i who has been visiting her sister. Mrs. H. C- Wilburn, and Mr. Wilburn, for several weeks, returned to her home Saturday accompanied by Misses Stacy and Grace Wilburn. Mr. and Mrs- Frank Spencer left Saturday for Raleigh where they will make their home. Mrs. Spencer is the former Miss Elizabeth Baucom, attractive young daughter of Rev. and Mrs. H. W. Baucom. Mr. and Mrs. Norton Persons of Philadelphia spent last week here as guests of the former's grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. R. Q. McCracken. Mr. Person., is in the engineering depart ment of the R. C. A. Victor Company. Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Siler and daughters. Emily and Betsy, motored to Asheville Wednesday. They were accompanied by Mrs. E. C. Jones, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. J. K. Boone. Mrs. Jones returned to her home in Louden Tennessee. Mrs. R. Q. McCracken and Miss Nancy Isenhour spent last week-end in Elizabethton, Tennessee as guests of the former's daughter.
